Borgata opened the 2025 Fall Poker Open on Nov. 4 and returning players had a refreshed poker room and dedicated tournament area to enjoy. During the summer months, Borgata invested millions in refreshing large areas of the casino, including the East Coast’s premier poker room.
The 2025 BFPO features over $3 million in guarantees across 16 championship events, culminating in the $2,700 BFPO Championship with a $1 million guarantee.
Player favorites on the schedule include the BetMGM Poker Online Hybrid Championship, featuring a $300,000 guarantee. The field begins online and the final six players play down to a winner at a live-streamed final table on Nov. 9. There’s a Mirror Mystery Bounty, a Progressive Knock Out Bounty, and a $25,000 guarantee Ladies Championship on the schedule.
Inside the Swanky New BetMGM Poker Tournament Room
Inside the poker room, all new leather rolling chairs sit at 60 tables stretched across the massive space. There are 32 new large-screen TVs mounted throughout the room for players. Daily tournaments and high-limit action begin in the back of the room while the cash game tables occupy the front half of the room.
BFPO players can look forward to a dedicated, 6,500 square foot tournament ballroom, just up the escalator. The spacious layout holds 45 tables, its own registration desk for players, and bathrooms. It’s dedicated exclusively to tournaments during Borgata’s signature events throughout the year.
At first glance, players will notice the BetMGM Racebook moved into its own space where cash game tables once sat. Customers have 1,600 square feet and 50 large leather recliners with a dedicated viewing area of eight large screen TVs for the Racebook. Five cashier windows are dedicated to poker and racebook customers inside the space.
The BetMGM Sportsbook & Bar across the hall caters to sports bettors with the added luxury of being able to dine while sweating the action across dozens of screens. There’s a dedicated sportsbook window inside the restaurant, along with automated betting kiosks and 20 leather recliners.
Borgata’s Refresh Extends Past the Poker and Sports Areas
Borgata also significantly re-shaped a portion of the casino floor that added 25,000 square feet and 51 table games. The Asian gaming spaces got a refresh, along with a high-limit area with five private salons and an exclusive bar featuring rare liquors from around the world.
The signature B Bar, located in the heart of the casino floor, was redesigned with fine Italian craftsmanship. The space combines luxury and versatility with couch seating and a round bar in the middle. Customers can enjoy live entertainment on the weekends or follow the game on one of the big screens centered in the bar.
Borgata Fall Poker Open is Heating Up
The multi-flight $600,000 Almighty Kick Off is halfway to its guarantee with another two flights to go. In the opening days of the BFPO, only two mini-Borgata trophies have been awarded, both to Mixed Games. There are seven tournaments on the Mixed Event schedule, culminating in the $1,100 no-limit deuce-to-seven event on Nov. 11.
For a recap on Event 1: $500 BEAST event awarded the first trophy of the series to David Tarbet. He won $6,133 of the $14,960 prizepool. Micah Goldberg won Event 2: $500 Omaha hilo for $7,190. The event drew 68 entries and nine players chopped up the $29,200 prizepool.
