A quick look at the last year or two of live tournament series at Borgata shows East Coast poker at its finest – series with massive guarantees, livestreams, special events, and fresh ideas. The recent Big Big Buy-In tournament event and the corresponding grand opening of the new BetMGM Poker Tournament Room at Borgata provided no better example of the excitement surrounding poker in Atlantic City. But even with all of that, there’s one thing missing: the Borgata Fall Poker Open event.
The other seasons of the Borgata Poker Open had restarted since the pandemic shutdown five years ago, all under the direction of Borgata Director of Poker Operations Kellie deCelis and her team, along with an online partner in BetMGM Poker. The Spring Poker Open, Summer Poker Open, and Winter Poker Open have been bringing in bigger numbers with every iteration…but where was the Fall Poker Open?
It’s BACK! For the first time since 2019, the Borgata Fall Poker Open will bring players to Borgata for exhilarating tournaments in late fall, starting November 4. And to celebrate, BetMGM Poker is offering exclusive online qualifiers to several of the biggest BFPO events.

Bar Poker Open 2025
As a bonus, Borgata is hosting the Bar Poker Open 2025 with eight events and $50,000 in guarantees, all open to the public. The Bar Poker Open Championship is an invitation-only event with a livestreamed final table on November 17. The full series begins November 13 and runs through the weekend.
Fall Poker Open Mixed Events
Longtime Borgata regular and mixed game enthusiast Esther Taylor, better known as ETay (and woman on fire this year in poker), put her own touch on some mixed game action during the Big Big Buy-In series. And as a result of many new players requesting mixed games, the Fall Poker Open will feature its own mixed event schedule.
There will be seven events November 4-11, most with $500 buy-ins and one with an $1,100 buy-in. The games on the list are B.E.A.S.T., Omaha Hi-Lo, H.O.R.S.E., T.O.R.S.E., Pot Limit Big O Hi Lo, Deuce-7 No Limit Single Draw, and an 8-Max PLO Mix.
