- Event 1 (Aug 5-9): $600 buy-in NLH Opener (7 flights, $500,000 guaranteed)
- Event 10 (Aug 11-13): $500 buy-in Monumental Stacks (2 flights, $100,000 guaranteed)
- Event 16 (Aug 14-17): $3,000 buy-in NLH Main Event (2 flights, $750,000 guaranteed)
Mixed game players will have quite a few options in this series, such as TORSE, Mixed PLO, 8-Game Mix, Big-O, 5-Card PLO Bounty, PLO-8, and Double Board PLO Bomb Pot. Other featured events include a Tag Team, Seniors, Super Seniors, Women, and several bounty options.
Pride of the Lions Freeroll
The tournament that kicks it all off on August 5 is a freeroll, an invitation-only event with no buy-in and an optional $20 add-on, which will offer 5,000 more starting chips and send that $20 directly to tournament staff as a gratuity. This freeroll is for all players who competed in any events in the last Potomac Winter Poker Open or Potomac Poker Open to obtain a seat.
The prize pool is guaranteed to be $14,100 in the form of seats into MGM National Harbor tournaments: three (3) Main Event seats, three (3) Event 14 seats, and three (3) Opener seats.
