As everyone flips their calendars over to 2026, BetMGM Poker begins a new chapter in online poker. The new concept will carry on throughout the year but break down into four seasons, starting with Spade Season and to be followed by the other suits as the year progresses. And Spade Season will kick off with a new series called the Spade Championship.
Read on for all of the details, though, because there is something for every player in Spade Season, including cash game players and promo seekers.
January – March 2026 is Spade Season at BetMGM Poker Online
BetMGM Poker will launch the suited seasons in January 2026 with Spade Season. To give players a bit of a head start, however, qualifiers for the Spade Championship started on December 28, even though the series won’t begin until January 18.
Back to the season, Spade Season will consist of several ways to participate and excel. This format will be the same for the next three seasons as well.
Tournament Players
For the tournament aficionados at the tables, the Spade Championship will provide a schedule of events with a wide range of buy-ins and guarantees. There will be a plethora of qualifiers running for weeks prior to the series and throughout most of the series, as well as a leaderboard promotion during the series. And winners of Spade Championship events will receive spade-themed prizes to be revealed soon.
Cash Game Players
Every player will have the opportunity to claim a Season Pass and earn BetMGM Rewards Points (BRPs) throughout the season by playing cash games. Simply activate the pass at the start of the season within the promohub, and all points earned will help players climb tiers. Those who reach the top tier will receive prizes at the end of the season, but there will be benefits throughout. Every week, BetMGM will randomly award No Limit Hold’em cash game bonuses to five(5) players from each tier as listed below.
- Tier 1 – Opted in players: $25 NLH cash game bonus
- Tier 2 – 500 – 2,499 BRPs earned from real money poker cash games: $50 NLH cash game bonus
- Tier 3 – 2,500 – 9,999 BRPs earned from real money poker cash games: $75 NLH cash game bonus
- Tier 4 – 10,000 – 49,999 BRPs earned from real money poker cash games: $125 NLH cash game bonus
- Tier 5 – 50,000+ BRPs earned from real money poker cash games: $250 NLH cash game bonus
- At the season’s end, all players in Tier 5 will also win an exclusive merchandise prize package, complete with BetMGM gear.
Each Suited Season Matters
Tournament results and Season Pass points will accumulate throughout the year. While there will be prizes and rewards for each season, those who persevere through the full year will vie for the opportunity to compete in a special online invitational tournament. More about the year-end rewards will be announced at a later date.
The Spade Championship Is Set For January 18–February 1

Spade Championship Pick A Card Promo: Dec 28–Jan 11
For the first two weeks of the Spade Championship qualifying period of daily satellites, players can also play the Pick A Card promotion. Spade Championship Shared Leaderboard: Jan 18–Feb 1
For the entirety of the Spade Championship series, players will be able to earn points for all in-the-money finishes in Spade Championship events. By way of a points system based on the number of entries in each event and the prize pool, players who make the money will earn points by cashing in any Spade Championship event. Points automatically put players on the Spade Championship Shared Leaderboard, and the top 10 finishers at the end of the series will win cash.

- 4th place: $1,500
- 5th place: $1,000
- 6th & 7th places: $750 each
- 8th place: $500
- 9th & 10th places: $250 each
End-of-Season Promotion: March 5-18
After the excitement of the Spade Championship comes to a close, players will continue to earn points at the cash game tables throughout Spade Season. Since that runs to the end of March, there will be one more promotion to help usher out the first season and welcome the second one, Heart Season.
This Flip a Coin promotion will run March 5-18, and players can participate daily. Simply earn 20 BRPs as often as every day, and win a chance to play the Flip a Coin. The following prizes will be up for grabs:
