BetMGM Adds Esther “E-Tay” Taylor to Poker Pro Ambassador Roster

Taylor brings a remarkable personal story, fierce competitive drive, and a growing poker profile to BetMGM’s ambassador roster. Born in South Korea and found alone as an infant in a bus terminal, Taylor was adopted and raised in the United States. She went on to build a career in banking before the pull of competitive poker tournaments drew her in. Upon dedicating time to raising her daughter, Taylor returned to the tournament circuit in 2015 and has since earned a reputation as one of the game’s most tenacious and authentic competitors.

Owning more than $3.2 million in live tournament earnings, Taylor has competed at the highest levels across a wide range of formats. To date, she has 10 final table appearances in World Series of Poker (WSOP) events and one World Poker Tour (WPT) final table. In 2025, she became the second woman ever to reach the prestigious $50,000 WSOP Poker Players Championship Final Table. She finished in third place and earned her best live cash of $595,136.

Taylor is active on the 2026 summer circuit, having already competed in roughly half of the first 20 events of the 2026 World Series of Poker. She will play in the BetMGM Poker Championship at ARIA (July 1– 4), a tournament featuring a $4 million guaranteed prize pool, a $1 million increase from last year.

Taylor, a Havertown, Pennsylvania resident, joins a distinguished group of BetMGM poker ambassadors, which includes Darren Elias and Mike Lavin.
