It’s a match made in poker heaven. Borgata’s tournament area is now the BetMGM Poker Tournament Room at Borgata. Few are particularly surprised by the marriage, but it’s nice that it became official.
To celebrate the grand opening of said poker tournament area, the dynamic duo decided to host a massive tournament series. And it won’t just be a big deal, it will be a Big Big Buy-in Event with more than $6,500,000 in guarantees across just nine tournaments in early September.

Borgata Big Big Buy-In Event
Powered by BetMGM Poker, this first-of-its-kind Big Big Buy-In Event is set to happen in Borgata’s new tournament area September 8-17. The series is offering a range of buy-ins with big guarantees, all leading up to a massive championship.
The Big Big Kick Off will be a No Limit Hold’em tournament with two starting days, a $2,200 buy-in, and a massive $1,000,000 guarantee. The second day of the series celebrates Esther “E-Tay” Taylor’s impressive final table run this summer and her love of mixed games with the event “E-Tay’s Big Big 9-Game Mix,” with a $2,500 buy-in and $250,000 guarantee. (She will also offer VIP mixed cash games September 9-11, along with an $1,100 buy-in HORSE event on September 9.)
The series also offers a PKO Bounty, a high roller event with the entry fee covered by BetMGM Poker, and a Pot Limit Omaha 8-max tournament. The main attraction will be:
- Event: BetMGM Poker Millionaire Championship
- Buy-in: $5,300
- Guarantee: $3,000,000 ($1,000,000 of it guaranteed for the winner)
- Dates: September 13-15 (starting flights), September 16 (Day 2), September 17 (Day 3)
There will be a Big Big Championship Qualifier on September 12 with a $580 buy-in and 25 seats guaranteed to the championship.

- Qualifier dates to be announced for $250.
- Step tournaments for said qualifiers on the day of those qualifiers starting at $25.
Big Baller Qualifiers
With a $10,000 price tag for this high roller, many players would say this is for elite players only. But who says you’re not an elite player? There are multiple ways to qualify online now.
- Step 1 tournaments daily for $10, on demand when enough players register.
- Step 2 tournaments daily at 7:35 p.m. (and 9:15 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays) for $100.
- Thursday & Saturday qualifiers at 9:15 p.m. for $1,000.
As with the Championship, there will be more qualifiers online in the week leading up to the event on September 11, so keep your lobby open to satellites during that time.
VIP Party: Invitation Only
To celebrate the opening of the newly-branded tournament area, Borgata is hosting a BetMGM Poker Deck Cutting Party on Sunday, September 7 at 8 p.m. It does require an invitation, though, so contact Borgata Poker Director of Operations Kellie deCelis on X to find out how to obtain that ticket.
