It’s almost here. The 2025 BetMGM Poker Online Championships — the largest one to date with $3,000,000 in guarantees — is gearing up to start on Sunday, September 21. There will be 70 tournaments over the course of the 15-day lineup, complete with satellites running now and leaderboard competitions to offer extra cash throughout the series.

BetMGM Poker Online Championships Schedule

The schedule for the 2025 BetMGM Poker Online Championships is online, available on the poker client for players in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. This is the first of this annual series to include all three states playing at the same tables, enabling BetMGM Poker to offer bigger guarantees than ever before.

  • Dates:  September 21 – October 5, 2025
  • Events:  70 tournaments
  • Trophy events:  26 of 70 tournaments will award official BetMGM trophies
  • Prize pools:  $3,000,000 guaranteed
  • Buy-ins:  $25 – $2,500

The action kicks off this Sunday and satellites are running now. Players can win their seats into most events at a discount via numerous Online Championships qualifiers running daily, with the most opportunities set up for the featured Championship main event.

  • Event 65:  $1,000 buy-in No Limit Hold’em Championship with $400,000 guaranteed

This series will offer all of the excitement of online poker tournaments plus the chance to win bankroll-changing money.

Three Online Championships Leaderboard Competitions

Just when you think the news can’t get any better, there’s more! BetMGM is offering three leaderboard competitions during the 2025 Online Championships, giving players at all levels the chance to win some of the cash prizes up for grabs.

Each one of the following leaderboards will track the entire series, starting on September 5 and concluding with the end of the final tournament during the first week of October.

Full Series-Long Leaderboard: $15,000

As is customary, there will be one leaderboard for all players and every event in the series. Every player who makes the money in any of the 70 tournaments will win points. This is based on a formula established by the BetMGM Poker team, in which your finishing position will be factored alongside the total number of entries in the event.

When the series concludes, the top 10 players on the leaderboard will win cash as follows:

  • 1st place:  $5,000
  • 2nd place:  $3,000
  • 3rd place:  $2,000
  • 4th place:  $1,500
  • 5th place:  $1,000
  • 6th & 7th places:  $750 each
  • 8th place:  $500
  • 9th & 10th places:  $250 each

Players will be able to see their standings throughout the Online Championships, as the leaderboard will register new points at the conclusion of every tournament.

Omaha Leaderboard: $3,000

Players who consider themselves Omaholics will love this new leaderboard — one that awards points just for Omaha tournaments. There are 14 of those on the schedule, ranging from Pot Limit Omaha to PLO-8, and from No Limit Omaha to PLO with progressive knockout bounties. This leaderboard will then award cash as follows:

  • 1st place:  $1,500
  • 2nd place:  $1,000
  • 3rd place:  $500

These standings, too, will be updated throughout the series until it ends, at which time the top three finishers will win prizes.

Super High Roller Leaderboard: $5,000

The high rollers also have their own leaderboard for the Online Championships this year. These tournaments are labeled as “High Roller” or “Super High Roller” in the event titles, of which there are five. When the series ends, the top three finishers will receive bonuses:

  • 1st place:  $2,500
  • 2nd place:  $1,500
  • 3rd place:  $1,000

Super High Roller Pick-a-Chip Promo

The $2,500 buy-in Super High Roller tournament (Event 34) is a steep buy-in for many players, but there will be qualifiers running up to the start of the tournament. And there is another way to get involved by simply playing poker. As you play on the BetMGM Poker site in cash games and tournaments, you regularly earn BetMGM Reward Points (BRPs). This happens all the time, and those points can be redeemed for various tournament tickets and other perks. During this particular promotion, though, anyone earning 35 BRPs in one day can participate in the Super High Roller Pick-a-Chip promotion. Every player who plays this promotion will win one of the following prizes:

  • $2,500 ticket to Event 34
  • $250 ticket to a Super High Roller qualifier
  • $25 ticket to a Super High Roller qualifier
  • $5 ticket to a Super High Roller qualifier

Better yet, you can play the Pick-a-Chip promotion once per day, as long as you earn the 35 BRPs every day.
