The summer of poker is fast approaching, and players from around the world are ready to descend upon Las Vegas for a multitude of opportunities.

There will be cash games and tournaments in every casino that has room to set up poker tables, one of the largest venues being ARIA Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. Of course, BetMGM Poker will host a number of its own tournaments during the ARIA Poker Classic, including the BetMGM Championship starting July 1. Before that, there will be the Mixed Game Festival down the street at Bellagio, which will have three BetMGM Championship seats up for grabs.

Each year, the Mixed Game Festival brings a series of mixed game poker opportunities to Las Vegas. While large tournament festivals toss in some games besides Hold’em, the Mixed Game Festival focuses strictly on the variety of poker games that are often underrepresented. 

Mixed Game Festival XIV, which is sponsored by BetMGM Poker, will take place at Bellagio in two parts:

• Sunday, May 31 – Thursday, June 4
• Sunday, June 7 – Thursday, June 11

This set-up gives more players the opportunity to participate while avoiding too many conflicts with big weekend tournaments around town.

Cash Games Galore

Every day of the Mixed Game Festival offers cash games in the Bellagio Poker Room with a variety of stakes to accommodate all players. There will be a number of games offered, from Omaha to Stud and many others, with each Wednesday offering special dealer’s choice games.

There will be a pizza party each Monday, as well as special appearances by players like Linda Johnson and Eli Elezra, who will jump into the games as their schedules allow. Mixed game specialists Alex Livingston, Jonathan Little, and Justin Saliba will join in the action on Thursday, June 4, and PokerGO President Mori Eskandani will take a seat on Tuesday, June 9. 

BetMGM Poker Championship Seats

With the BetMGM Championship on the ARIA schedule for July 1-2 (two starting days), poker players will be looking to build their bankrolls to be able to buy in for $3,500, as there is a massive $4,000,000 guarantee on the prize pool. There are many ways to qualify for much less than the full buy-in, such as online qualifiers and live satellites that will take place at ARIA. But another way to play in that tournament is to win one of the three seats available at the Mixed Game Festival.

We even know the days that those seats will be awarded at Bellagio:

• Tuesday, June 2:  A blind PLO flip will happen at each active table. The winner of each flip will proceed to a second flip, and that ultimate winner will play in the BetMGM Championship at ARIA.
• Sunday, June 7:  A random table and seat draw will present that player with three trivia questions. Answer all correctly to win a seat, or another player will be chosen to answer three alternative questions. This will continue until a person wins.
• Thursday, June 11:  A random “chip count” announcement will award the seat to the player with the highest chip count at that moment.
