I was down a YouTube rabbit hole a few months ago and stumbled upon an incredible video from world-champion chess player Magnus Carlsen. Magnus was shown a configuration of chess pieces, and just from the location of pieces, he was able to tell who played the game, where, and when.

Impressed by his recall and always interested in cross-discipline parallels, I immediately wondered if I’d be capable of recreating this feat with poker hands. We had the BetMGM team select six famous poker hands from over the years and have me attempt to identify them. 

I am given only the hole cards and betting action and have to identify who played the hands, where, and when if possible. As poker players, we often have a long memory with our own hands, which we won or lost in a pivotal moment, but how will I fare with other players’ famous hands?
